This position supports our Ridgefield Distribution Center and is based out of Spokane.

Job Overview:

As a Class A CDL Driver at UNFI, you will deliver palletized products to retail stores, supporting the Ridgefield Distribution Center. Responsibilities include vehicle inspections, safe loading and handling, delivering and unloading products, reviewing paperwork, and maintaining logs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Deliver and unload products using equipment such as tractor trailers, ramps, lift gates, and pallet jacks.
2. Operate vehicles safely within UNFI guidelines, minimizing accidents and violations.
3. Report accidents immediately.
4. Maintain vehicle safety and report defects.
5. Handle vendor pickups and back hauls, completing related paperwork.
6. Address customer concerns and ensure order accuracy and quality.

Who Should Apply?

Education/Certification:

• Valid medical card as per FMCSA requirements.
• Valid state-specific Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• Ability to pass a road test.

Experience & Skills:

• Minimum of one year verified tractor trailer experience preferred.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Basic knowledge of DOT laws and mandates.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Understanding of shipping and receiving functions.
• Good judgment and ability to work independently at times.
