Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate and ability to obtain renewed MEC.
• 24 months verifiable Class A driving experience in last 5 years.
• No more than 2 moving violations in last 3 years.
• No more than 1 preventable accident in last 3 years.
• Registered in FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• Ability to use/learn automated systems for logs, training, etc.

Responsibilities

• Move freight and materials to and from production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, and containers by hand or using trucks, tractors, and other equipment.
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew.
• Secure material for transport using ropes, blocks, chains, or covers.
• Receive instructions from dispatch and proceed to location for delivery or receipt of material.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles.
• Maintain all logs of working hours, vehicle service, and repair status.
• Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered materials and check documentation for accuracy.
• Provide backup or assistance throughout the yard as needed.
