Job summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a reliable Class A Driver to join the client’s production team in Portland. You will operate a tractor-trailer, unload with a hand truck or pallet jack, and provide exceptional customer service during deliveries.

You must meet DOT regulations, carry a valid CDL Class A, and maintain safety & attendance standards. Responsibilities include route checks, safety inspections, and occasional backhaul tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of commercial driving with CDL Class A.
• DOT qualified and able to pass DOT physical and drug screening.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to work in varying weather.
• Forklift certification required and safe operation of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a tractor-trailer and follow DOT rules.
• Review routes, verify orders and invoices for deliveries.
• Deliver orders on time and provide courteous service.
• Unload using hand truck or pallet jack and obtain signatures.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip truck inspections and log DOT data.
• Attend safety meetings and follow company policies; backhaul duties possible.
