Job summary

Staffmark Group in Pineville, LA is seeking an experienced Class A CDL Driver for direct hire. You will transport goods safely, perform pre/post trip inspections, maintain logs, and communicate with dispatch to ensure on-time deliveries.

This role requires a valid CDL-A, DOT Medical Card, FMCSA Clearinghouse registration, and clean driving record, with at least 1 year of CDL experience. We offer weekly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A license and DOT Medical Card.
• FMCSA Clearinghouse registered and clear MVR.
• 1 year CDL experience (within the past 3 years).
• No more than 3 moving violations/at-fault accidents (within the past 3 years).
• No DUI, reckless driving, or serious violations (within the past 5 years).

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A CDL tractor-trailer to transport and deliver products, materials, and equipment while maintaining an excellent safety record.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including checks of tires, brakes, lights, fluids, and other critical components to ensure DOT compliance and safe vehicle operation.
• Maintain accurate driver logs, delivery records, shipping documents, and transportation paperwork in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
• Load, unload, inspect, and secure cargo using proper tie-down procedures to ensure safe and on-time deliveries.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and customers regarding delivery schedules, route changes, delays, and transportation-related issues while providing exceptional customer service.
• Follow all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety standards, perform minor roadside maintenance when needed, and maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
