Position: Class A CDL Driver

Location: Valley, AL

Type: Full-time / Hourly

About The Role

The Class A CDL Tanker Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of liquid cargo across various routes. This role requires strict adherence to safety regulations and company policies to ensure cargo integrity and safety. Responsibilities include performing vehicle inspections, maintaining logs, communicating with dispatch and customers, loading/unloading cargo, and ensuring safety procedures are followed to prevent spills and accidents. The role contributes significantly to the reliability and reputation of our transportation services.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver equipment – open-top dump trailers (combination vehicles) regionally.
• Operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles per DOT and legal requirements.
• Perform pre-and post-trip inspections.
• Use hand tools for basic repairs of equipment.
• Maintain truck equipment and cleanliness.
• Use electronic logging systems for DOT logs.
• Manage paperwork and documentation.
• Communicate with customers, vendors, and the operations team.
• Report accidents and injuries immediately.
• Work flexible hours, up to 60-70 hours per week seasonally.
• Participate in safety calls and training.
• Use computer and cell phone for training and communication.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid Class CDL-A with TANKER endorsement – Roll Off or Triaxle; end dump experience is a plus.
• Strong time management and route consistency skills.
• Customer service and communication skills.
• Experience with manual and automatic transmissions.
• Experience with Electronic Logging Systems (e.g., People Net).
• Hydraulics knowledge is a plus.
• Basic computer and phone skills.
• Proficiency in English for communication and documentation.
• Age 21 and over, with 1-year tractor-trailer experience, DOT medical card, and passing pre-employment screenings.
• Clean MVR, no recent DUI/DWI.
• Resident in a defined hiring area, willing to park at designated locations.

Required Qualifications

• Class A CDL License, non-excepted interstate.
• Clean MVR and PSP.
• At least 23 years old with 2+ years of experience or 21 with training/military background.
• Stable work history.
• Pass pre-employment drug screening.

Physical Requirements

• Sitting, climbing, balancing, reaching, standing, walking, feeling, lifting up to 50 lbs., talking, hearing, seeing.
• Subject to confined spaces, outdoor weather, atmospheric conditions, and physical hazards.
