LEM Trucking is recruiting a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Bridgeport, Connecticut, for a regional fleet offering planned freight assignments, weekly home time, and limited physical freight handling.
Approximately 85 percent of loads are drop and hook, allowing drivers to transition between assignments without routinely waiting through live loading appointments. Freight is also 95 percent no touch, reducing the amount of physical cargo handling required.
Drivers operate established Midwest and Southeast lanes with no New York City deliveries. Loads are preassigned when available to help reduce unnecessary waiting between trips and support productive driving time.
A Class A CDL Truck Driver returns home weekly for a scheduled reset. The regional operating structure provides regular opportunities for time at home without requiring extended nationwide OTR trips.
Weekly compensation depends on experience and operating conditions. Eligibility and details for the minimum pay program are reviewed during the hiring process.
Each Class A CDL Truck Driver operates a late-model International, Freightliner, or Kenworth tractor. Trucks feature 1,500-watt power inverters, Opti-Idle climate systems, and sleeper accommodations designed for overnight comfort.
Paid orientation is provided, with qualifying travel expenses and hotel accommodations covered during onboarding.
Applicants must hold a valid Class A CDL and meet applicable DOT and company safety qualifications. Twelve months of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience is preferred.
Drivers must be comfortable operating regional freight lanes throughout the Midwest and Southeast while following assigned delivery schedules.
