Job summary

Clean Harbors in Gilroy, CA seeks a Class A CDL Driver to operate a range of heavy and light trucks at customer sites for hazardous waste cleanup. You will perform driving and non-driving duties, loading/unloading, and ensure compliance with DOT and corporate guidelines.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL with Tanker and Triple/Doubles endorsements, Hazmat eligibility within 90 days, and 3+ years of experience (including Tanker).

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with Tanker and Triple/Doubles endorsement.
• Ability to obtain Hazmat within 90 days of employment.
• Minimum of three years of experience including one year of Tanker experience.
• Ability to use various mobile devices.
• Perform physical functions per job requirements.
• Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, by position.
• Facial hair standards per OSHA Respiratory Protection Standard.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers when needed.
• Operate a variety of Class A trucks.
• Loading and unloading of trucks.
• Manual labor on site to meet customer needs.
• Placard vehicles to meet DOT requirements.
• Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and reports.
• Follow all DOT, local, state, and federal regulations.
• Be on call for emergency response on rotating basis; site remediation and hazardous materials handling.
