Job summary

Contract Lumber, Inc. in Alvin, Texas is seeking a CDL-A Truck Driver for local, day-shift runs. You’ll load, secure, and deliver material, inspect vehicles, and maintain logs and paperwork per DOT requirements.

Home every night; 40 hours/week with overtime available; benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with matching, and profit sharing. This role requires a valid CDL-A, clean DOT-eligible driving record, ability to lift up to 80 lbs, and a strong team attitude.

CDL-A Truck Driver – Contract (Alvin, Texas)

Location: Alvin, Texas

Pay Range: $24–30/hr (based on experience)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 1st Shift (Flexible) – 40 hrs/week. Overtime available as needed.

Benefits: Full benefits, profit sharing & 401(k) retirement plan.

Type: Local runs only – drivers are home each night.

Day to Day Responsibilities

• Load, secure, and deliver material.
• Inspect delivery vehicles per DOT requirements.
• Maintain required paperwork and logs.
• Verify load accuracy.
• Ensure all loads are safely secured before departure.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with employees, management, and customers.
• Enjoy the work and maintain a positive attitude.

Skill Set & Qualifications

• Great attitude and team player.
• CDL A license.
• Ability to learn a piggyback or Princeton forklift.
• Valid driving record that meets DOT regulations.
• Physical ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
