Job summary

Bunzl North America is seeking drivers dedicated to serving as a trusted partner to our customers. You will operate Class A commercial vehicles, perform inspections, and deliver goods efficiently while adhering to safety policies.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Clean driving record per fleet safety standards.
• Ability to operate a variety of commercial vehicles.
• Lift up to 30 pounds and load/unload as needed.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Pass background check and drug tests; maintain medical card.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance.
• Preferred: 2+ years driving experience; GPS routing software familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a Class A tractor-trailer or similar vehicle.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Deliver goods locally and long-distance on schedule.
• Follow traffic laws, safety rules, and company policies.
• Maintain clean driving record and timely logs/paperwork.
• Manage cargo loading/unloading and secure items.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Report vehicle issues to management promptly.

A Day in the Life

• Safely drive and operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Deliver goods in a timely and safe manner to customer locations, both local and long-distance.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean driving record and ensure timely submission of logs and paperwork.
• Manage cargo loading/unloading, ensuring items are safely secured.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Ensure the vehicle is properly maintained, reporting any issues to management immediately.

The Must-Haves

• Valid Class A CDL.
• A clean driving record, based on our fleet safety standards.
• Ability to operate and navigate a variety of commercial vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and handle loading/unloading responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and best driving practices.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to pass background check, drug tests, and maintain an active medical card.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance

Preferred Requirements

• At least 2 years of Driving experience.
• Experience with GPS and routing software.

• Salary: $32.25 per hour based on experience, education and market data in the geographic location. Paid Weekly.
