Job summary

American Iron & Metal is seeking an experienced Class-A CDL Driver to service the Tecumseh, Michigan area. You will be responsible for the pickup and delivery of various metal products, performing inspections, and upholding safety standards on every trip.

Requirements include a valid Class A license, a good driving record, and 12 months of heavy-vehicle experience. Passport may be needed for Ontario loads, with weekend work as required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Ability to work on weekends when required.
• Valid passport to be able to pick up or deliver loads into Ontario when required.
• At least 12 months minimum of experience driving a heavy vehicle.
• Experience using various types of trailers.
• Health and safety awareness.
• Reliability, diligence, and punctuality.
• Respect for equipment and tools.

Responsibilities

• Transporting metals to our various customers.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Ensure that the safety standards set by law and the employer are always upheld, without exception.
• Use various types of heavy vehicles as required.
