Job description

Title: Class A CDL Driver
Compensation: Commensurate with experience
Employment type: Full-Time – 40+ hours/week
Overtime: When required to meet business demands.
Location: Brownsville, PA

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Safe Driving Practices (Abide by DOT Regulations).
  2. Drive safely; ensure every trip is completed by DOT regulations, speed limits, and accident-free.
  3. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on every truck driven daily. Ensure equipment defects are reported immediately.
  4. Accurately complete all paperwork and documents required by Federal DOT and the Company daily.
  5. Drivers are responsible for their load. Ensure appropriate material distribution and securing of load.
  6. Provide a positive representation of the company by demonstrating safe, responsible driving practices.
  7. Operate company vehicles in a safe manner by applying knowledge and skills in maneuvering vehicles at varying speeds in difficult situations such as heavy traffic and inclement weather, or in tight loading dock areas. Keep tractor interior clean and orderly.
  8. Monitor the truck's mechanical functions and ensure the truck is maintained in accordance with maintenance schedules.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Class A License Required.
  2. At least 6 months of Class A or B driving experience (2+ years of driving experience preferred)
  3. Clean Driving Record/MVR
  4. Must possess or be able to obtain a DOT physical card

REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Must be able to enter and exit truck cab using foot and handholds.
  2. Depending on need, one must be able to exert force for pushing and pulling. Able to stoop, bend, twist, balance, climb, crouch, and kneel.
  3. Applicants must be registered in the Federal DOT Clearinghouse. A job offer will be contingent on a pre-hire physical, including drug screening criminal background screening, and an MVR report.
