NorthStar Energy Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Class A CDL Driver to support our gas construction operations. Safely operate dump trucks, vac trailer-mounted units, and other heavy CDL equipment while assisting field crews with excavation support, material handling, and installation work.

The role is based at 3340 Roy Orr Blvd, Grand Prairie, TX 75050 and runs Monday through Friday. You will perform inspections, logs, and routine maintenance, travel to multiple sites, and collaborate

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid Class A CDL with air brakes (No "L" restriction).
• Tanker Endorsement preferred.
• Experience operating dump trucks, vacuum trailers, or other CDL equipment.
• Previous experience in utility, pipeline, gas distribution, construction, or heavy civil environments preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment screenings including DOT drug testing and MVR review.

About this role

Northstar Energy Solutions is looking for a highly skilled Class A CDL Driver to support our gas construction operations. This position is responsible for safely operating CDL-regulated vehicles, including dump trucks, vac trailer-mounted units, and other heavy equipment used in utility and pipeline construction projects. As a valued member of a construction crew, this individual will not only transport equipment and materials but will also actively assist with field construction activities to support project completion. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and willing to work alongside crew members in a hands‑on utility construction environment.

Schedule: Monday-Friday

What You'll Do

• Safely operate Class A CDL vehicles in compliance with all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Transport equipment, materials, tools, and supplies to and from project sites.
• Operate vac trailer-mounted units, dump trucks, and other CDL-regulated vehicles as required.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs.
• Assist gas construction crews with daily field activities, including excavation support, material handling, cleanup, and other labor tasks.
• Load, secure, and unload materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Support construction activities related to underground gas utility installation, maintenance, and repair projects.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, crew members, and project personnel to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Perform routine vehicle and equipment maintenance checks and report deficiencies promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
• Travel to various job sites throughout the service area as needed.

Job Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL). (No "L" Restriction)
• Tanker Endorsement preferred.
• Experience operating dump trucks, vacuum trailers, or other construction-related CDL equipment preferred.
• Previous experience in utility, pipeline, gas distribution, construction, or heavy civil environments preferred.
• Ability to safely drive and maneuver commercial vehicles in various weather and job site conditions.
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions and terrain.
• Must pass all required pre-employment screenings, including DOT drug testing and motor vehicle record review.

Educational/Certification Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

• Current DOT Medical Card required or ability to obtain upon hire.
