Job summary

GEODIS in New Jersey is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to join our logistics team. You will operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle in compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations, safely transporting goods and delivering on schedule.

Key requirements include a minimum of 2 years of Class A CDL driving experience, knowledge of DOT and FMCSA rules, and the ability to communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers. We offer multiple shifts and a safety-first work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Class A CDL Driver.
• Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations.
• Must have a valid CDL and road test certificate.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Must not be disqualified to drive a CMV.

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive a Class A commercial motor vehicle in compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations.
• Safely load, transport, and unload goods according to delivery schedules.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safe operation.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle inspections, hours of service.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members.
• Adhere to GEODIS policies and safety protocols and reporting requirements.
• Provide excellent customer service at delivery points.
• Report incidents, accidents, or delays promptly.

Primary Duties

• Operate and drive a Class A commercial motor vehicle in compliance with all FMCSA and DOT
  regulations.
• Safely load, transport, and unload goods according to delivery schedules.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safe operation.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle inspections, hours of service.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members.
• Adhere to GEODIS policies and procedures, including safety protocols and reporting
  requirements.
• Provide excellent customer service at all delivery points.
• Report any incidents, accidents, or delays promptly to the appropriate parties.

  and Sustainability

Minimum Requirements

• 49 CFR 391
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Class A CDL Driver.
• Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations and compliance requirements.
• Must have successfully completed a driver’s road test and have been issued a certificate of driver’s road test or possess a valid commercial driver’s license.
• Must not be disqualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle.
• Must have a valid operator’s license for the type of vehicle which they are assigned to drive.
• Must be physically qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle in accordance with 49 CFR Part
  391.41
