Job summary

Sysco Portland is seeking a delivery driver to safely transport product from the warehouse to various customers, unloading and delivering in accordance with invoices and company standards. You will build strong customer relationships while maintaining paperwork and safety protocols.

Expected routes are efficient and consistent, with good equipment and paid holidays. The position offers paid training, modern equipment, and a pathway to top earning potential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• 1 year tractor trailer driving experience preferred.
• Completion of a tractor trailer driving school accepted in lieu of or in addition to high school diploma.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and hazmat guidelines.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently for communication and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Unload and deliver product to stores per invoices and company standards.
• Complete paperwork including DOT logs, inspections, and invoices accurately and timely.
• Maintain proper food safety and sanitary conditions in vehicle and on receiving dock.
• Build good relationships with customers through courteous service.
