Job summary

SouthernCarlson is hiring a Class A Commercial Driver to support customers across the construction and industrial sectors. The role emphasizes safe driving, reliable service, and independent work on day shift with Monday–Friday hours.

Responsibilities include inspections, loading/unloading, route planning, order verification, and clear communication with dispatch to ensure on-time deliveries. A clean DMV record and DOT screening are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with no restrictions.
• Experience operating vehicles over 26,000 lbs.
• Clean DMV record and able to pass DOT background and drug screening.
• Ability to lift 75–100 lbs as part of delivery responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
• Safely load, transport, and unload merchandise at customer locations.
• Plan efficient delivery routes while adjusting for traffic or construction conditions.
• Pull and verify orders to ensure accuracy with delivery manifests.
• Provide professional and courteous service during deliveries.
• Communicate with dispatch and customers to resolve delivery-related issues.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and follow company procedures.
