Job Overview

As a Class A CDL Driver for UNFI, you will support the Centralia Distribution Center by delivering palletized products to retail stores. Your responsibilities include performing pre and post-trip vehicle inspections, safe loading and handling, delivering and unloading products, reviewing paperwork, checking orders, correcting addresses, completing time cards, entering trip data, and maintaining logs.

Responsibilities

• Delivering and unloading products using equipment such as tractor-trailers, ramps, lift gates, pallet jacks, and load bars.
• Operating vehicles safely within UNFI guidelines, minimizing accidents and violations.
• Reporting accidents immediately to the Transportation Manager.
• Keeping vehicles maintained and reporting defects.
• Picking up supplies and back hauls, completing related paperwork.
• Resolving customer issues as appropriate.
• Ensuring orders arrive in good condition and match initial orders.

Qualifications

• Current Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• Ability to pass a road test.
• Minimum of one year verified tractor-trailer operating experience preferred.
• Must be 21 years old.
• Knowledge of DOT laws and safety standards.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Understanding of shipping and receiving processes.
• Good time management and judgment skills.
