LOCAL CDL DRIVER ($28 - $30 PER HOUR DOE - FULL TIME)

Southwest Mobile Storage in Rancho Cucamonga is looking an expert CDL-A driver. You are the eyes, ears and heart of our business, connecting operations and sales to provide the best service to our customers. As a Southwest Mobile Storage driver, you'll be in charge of your own driving time management. We're a team-oriented company, so there will be times when you'll be asked to adjust your route or delivery schedule and use your own independent judgement.

Responsibilities :

• Safely transport storage ready and refurbished overseas containers to and from our main yard to customer locations in Rancho Cucamonga and throughout California (this position is not considered an "over-the-road" driving structure)
• Use chains, straps, and winch to secure equipment on to the truck.
• Survey the customers' property for obstruction and advise if needed on the placement of the container.
• May be asked to interact with our customers, building relationships.
• Work with our internal office and yard staff to ensure safety, customer satisfaction and quality control.
• Other duties as assigned by leadership.

Required Qualifications :

• Must be able to drive a 10-speed manual transmission.
• Monday through Friday availability & some Saturday's depending on workload.
• 2 years' recent CDL Class A experience
• Valid medical certificate and physically qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle.
• At least 21 years of age
• Must possess good dexterity in shoulders, lower back and knees.
• High school diploma or GED
• Very proficient in the English language
• Authorized for employment in the U.S. (sponsorships not available, E-Verify employer)
• Ability to pass 10 panel drug tests
• Ability to pass a thorough background screening and MVR

Preferred Skills Needed for Success :

• Prior experience with a heavy duty 10-wheel rollback winch truck with hydraulic tilt bed a plus
• Towing experience a plus
• Landoll trailer experience helpful
• Be punctual and reliable.
• Have a safety-oriented mind set
