Job Description/Summary
Commercial Drivers are critical members of our team, ensuring the safe and dependable transport of waste and materials from customer to disposal facility. This specific position would mainly entail roll‑off container transportation and vac services. Certain jobs will require some degree of physical labor.
MUST HAVE CLASS A CDL
Preferred Endorsements: Hazardous Materials and Tanker
Responsibilities
- Operate various types of trucks including roll‑off trucks, flatbeds, tankers, and tractor‑trailers for the transportation of freight.
- Certain jobs will require physical labor, such as, but not limited to handling of 2-4\" vac hoses.
- Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of materials during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of driving hours and vehicle maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal driving regulations while on the road.
- Manage routes efficiently to optimize delivery times while ensuring safety.

Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
- Experience operating different types of trucks such as delivery trucks, freight carriers, flatbeds, tankers, and roll‑off trucks.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial driving.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with dispatchers and customers.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks.
