Position Overview

C&S Wholesale Grocers aims to create the safest, most efficient, and customer-focused fleet in the country. As a Professional Driver with C&S, you will begin your career working alongside a Professional Driver Trainer (PDT), who will provide coaching on the C&S Way, including company and regulatory standards. After successfully completing our new hire training, you will be responsible for delivering products and services with high customer satisfaction, ensuring all tasks are performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

Description

• Operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle (such as a semi-truck, eighteen-wheeler, or box truck) using skills gained through experience and the C&S Professional Driver Training Program, adhering to safety and regulatory standards to transport and deliver products.
• Load and unload (ambient or temperature-sensitive) products for an average of 3-10 stops per day.
• Perform vehicle inspections, document findings, and ensure equipment is operational in compliance with all regulations and company policies.
• Conduct regular equipment inspections as required by regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Travel will be required.

• Warehouse: Grocery (50F to 90F)

Skills

• Specialized Knowledge: DOT Certified, Class A Commercial Driver's License
• Special Skills: Must be at least 21 years old
• Physical Abilities: Valid Department Of Transportation Physical Exam
• Other: Must be DOT certified with all qualification requirements
• Enjoy working with people; customer-service oriented.

Experience

• 0-2 years: Minimum 1 year of recent tractor-trailer experience
• 0-2 years: Supporting a large Enterprise Storage environment
• 0-2 years: One year of recent applicable CMV experience or completion of a company-approved CDL truck driving school
