Job summary

Wsb Solutions in Huntington, WV is seeking a dependable CDL Class A Driver for our metal recycling facility. You will operate trucks to transport scrap, load/unload, and maintain safety and DOT compliance while delivering excellent service.

Schedule is Mon–Fri with occasional overtime. Competitive hourly pay and a paid lunch break, with safety gear provided and opportunities to gain experience in the metal recycling industry.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license is required.
• Current DOT medical card required.
• Previous commercial driving experience preferred.
• Experience with dump trucks, roll-off trucks, trailers, or scrap metal transport is a plus.
• Experience operating forklifts, skid steers, or bobcats is a plus.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and daily vehicle inspections.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and work area.
• Report any vehicle maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
• Perform other general labor duties at the facility when needed.

Job Summary

We are currently seeking a dependable and safety-focused CDL Class A Driver to join our team at a metal recycling facility. This position involves operating commercial vehicles to transport scrap metal and materials between the facility, customers, and other designated locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a clean and safe driving record, and the ability to work independently while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate CDL Class A vehicles to transport scrap metal and materials
• Pick up and deliver materials from customers and designated locations
• Safely load, secure, transport, and unload materials
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles
• Assist with loading and unloading as needed
• Maintain accurate delivery and pickup documentation
• Communicate professionally with customers and facility personnel
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safety procedures

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when necessary
• Frequent entering and exiting of the truck
• Ability to bend, lift, climb, and perform physical activities throughout the day
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Ability to safely secure and handle materials
• Ability to remain alert and focused while operating a commercial vehicle

Schedule

• Monday - Friday: 7:45 AM - 5:00 PM
• Saturday: 7:45 AM - 12:00 PM (rotated when possible)
• Closed Sundays
• Occasional overtime may be required based on workload
• We do our best to maintain scheduled end times; however, flexibility is appreciated when customers are still on-site
• If a scheduled Saturday is an issue, accommodations can be discussed in advance

Pay & Breaks

• $18.00 per hour
• 30-minute paid lunch break
• Additional time taken beyond 30 minutes will be automatically deducted
• Employees are allowed to leave the premises during lunch

Requirements

• Ability to pass required drug and background screening
• Steel-toe boots required
• Long pants (jeans or work pants recommended - will get dirty)
• T-shirts are acceptable (no profanity or inappropriate graphics)
• Hard hats and additional PPE will be provided if needed
