Job summary

Staffmark Group is hiring a Class A CDL Driver in Charlotte, NC. The role offers pay at $25.00 per hour with a Monday–Friday schedule starting early morning.

You will operate a dry van on local routes, load with a forklift, and return home daily after deliveries. Requirements include at least 1 year of CDL driving in the last 3 years, a valid Class A CDL, DOT Medical Card, FMCSA Clearinghouse registration, and a clean MVR.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of CDL driving experience within the last 3 years.
• Experience operating a dry van preferred.
• Must be 22 years old or older.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class A CDL dry van on local routes transporting packaging materials.
• Load your truck daily using a forklift.
• Deliver palletized freight to customer locations.
• Assist with unloading when requested, though most deliveries are no-touch.
• Use a manual pallet jack as needed for freight movement.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and follow all DOT regulations and safety procedures.
• Maintain delivery documentation and communicate with customers and dispatch.
• Return home daily after completing local routes.

What You'll Do

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of CDL driving experience within the last 3 years.
• Experience operating a dry van preferred.
• Ability to safely handle palletized freight and work in a light-touch freight environment.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, FMCSA requirements, and safe driving practices.
• Must be at least 22 years old.

Driving Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Current DOT Medical Card.
• FMCSA Clearinghouse registration completed.
• Clear Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• No more than 3 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents within the last 3 years.
• No DUI, reckless driving, or other serious driving violations within the last 5 years.
• Ability to operate a dry van trailer safely and efficiently.
