Job summary

Paycom seeks a DOT Driver for the UDP Cottontown Transfer Station in Cottontown, TN. You will secure cargo, maintain logs, plan routes, and ensure compliance with DOT rules while delivering to customers.

Responsibilities

• Cargo Safety: Secure cargo properly to prevent shifting or damage during transport
• Logbook Maintenance: Accurately record driving hours, rest periods, and required data in compliance with DOT regulations
• Route Planning: Follow assigned routes using maps or GPS while meeting delivery schedules
• Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to all DOT regulations, including weight limits, hours of service, and safety standards
• Incident Reporting: Promptly report accidents, mechanical issues, or safety concerns to dispatch
• Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers; assist with loading/unloading as needed and follow delivery instructions
• Documentation: Complete required paperwork such as bills of lading, delivery receipts, and inspection reports
• Vehicle Maintenance: Perform basic vehicle checks (e.g., tire pressure, fluid levels) to ensure safe operation
• Work Environment: Operate vehicles in varying weather conditions and terrains
