Job summary

US Foods seeks a Delivery Driver in Jamestown, ND to safely drive to customers, unload goods, verify deliveries with signatures, and support cash collections as needed. You will adhere to DOT and FMCSA rules, and maintain customer service standards.

The position offers an hourly base rate of $34.50–$36.50, overtime eligibility, a Monday–Friday schedule (4 days per week, early start), and a $10,000 retention bonus paid over one year.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license and active DOT qualifications.
• Minimum 6 months commercial driving experience, or 3 months in food/beverage delivery.
• Must be 21+ years old and able to read/communicate in English.
• FMCSA Clearinghouse registration required.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive trucks to customers and meet delivery times.
• Unload products with two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand.
• Verify delivery accuracy and obtain signatures.
• Handle collections and payments when applicable.
• Provide professional customer service.
• Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 4 days per week, no weekend work. Start time 2:30 a.m. – 6:00 a.m. until work is finished.

Retention Bonus

Eligible for $10,000.00 retention bonus paid out over one year.

Main Ingredients of the Job

• Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times


• Carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areas


• Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures


• Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable


• Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience


• Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required


• Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required

What You Bring to the Table

• Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse*


• Must be at least 21 years of age


• Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications


• Minimum of six months commercial driving experience (any industry) OR three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required


• Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations


• Must be able to read and communicate in the English language – able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records.
