Job summary

Alliance Construction in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking an experienced truck driver to operate Class A or B vehicles, including a side-dump trailer, to transport materials to and from job sites.

You will perform safety inspections, maintain logs, coordinate with dispatch, follow routes, and uphold safety standards. A strong commitment to reliability and road safety is required, with 2+ years of experience and a valid CDL.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class A or B) with an acceptable driving record.
• Maintain a valid Department of Transportation medical certificate.
• Successfully complete and pass a required pre-employment drug screen.
• Typically prefer 2+ years of commercial driving experience.
• Ability to safely perform the physical duties of the position.
• Available to work Monday-Friday, with minimal weekend work; potential for out-of-town driving.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to safe driving practices and equipment care.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily safety inspections of the truck and trailer.
• Operate a semi-truck with a side dump trailer to transport materials.
• Occasionally operate a straight truck for materials transport.
• Maintain clear communication with dispatch and jobsite staff.
• Plan safe, efficient routes using GPS; monitor road conditions.
• Keep organized logs and submit required tickets and documents.
• Follow all safety policies and regulations.
• Optional: operate loader or other equipment as needed.
