Job description

EthosEnergy is currently seeking a Blader Trainee for our Houston, TX facility. The Blader trainee will learn the trade of steam blading across multiple OEMs of steam turbines. This helps ensure properly trained operators to perform the work required. Responsibilities include incoming inspection, removal, installation, final pinning, and tenon peening. This training aims to reduce the long-term cost of hiring contractors for blading work.

Job Responsibilities

1. Perform incoming visual inspection of rotor
2. Verify all incoming data is complete before work begins
3. Become familiar with blade locking hardware and removal and installation procedures (T-root, internal and external fir tree, straight axial entry) for OEMs like General Electric, Westinghouse, SDDT (Curved axial entry), FUJI, Mitsubishi
4. Remove and install blades
5. Notify supervision of any defects in materials or workmanship
6. Maintain a positive attitude toward safety, cleanliness, neatness, and quality of work, respecting the safety and comfort of others

Required Skills / Knowledge

1. This is an entry-level position
2. Ability to retain knowledge of the process being performed
3. Ability to work closely with others to gain necessary knowledge
4. Ability to listen and follow instructions from trainers and ask questions for understanding

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• Ability to read, write, and follow verbal instructions

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work long hours as required
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
