Job summary

Boughey Distribution in Crewe is hiring for a Day shift driver on a permanent contract. You will complete vehicle checks, ensure safe delivery across Cheshire and surrounding areas, and assist with yard duties as required.

The role requires a CPC and tachograph card with knowledge of driver hours regulations and Class 1 experience. Excellent communication with customers and the Boughey team is essential.

Qualifications

• Current CPC and tachograph card with a good understanding of driver hours regulations.
• Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential.
• Excellent communication skills to handle customer queries and collaborate with Boughey on site.

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle checks at the start and end of each shift – complying with all HGV driving rules.
• Ensure safe and prompt delivery of goods across Cheshire and surrounding areas.
• Manoeuvre trucks into loading/unloading positions and secure loads; assist in the yard as required.
