Position Summary:

Presents a positive image to Gordon Food Service (GFS) customers through courteous, on-time, and accurate deliveries of GFS products. Acts as a liaison between GFS management and customers. Communicates customer issues and concerns effectively. Operates GFS equipment professionally and safely, demonstrating attention to detail and working knowledge of Tractor-Trailer and refrigerated vans. Must pass the required physical ability test for sales service representatives in the area hired.

Essential Functions:

• Ensures safe, accurate, timely, and efficient deliveries of GFS products.
• Builds and maintains good customer relationships. Demonstrates self-control.
• Accurately collects customer payments, safeguards company funds, and follows GFS banking policies.
• Performs all Sales Service functions within the first 90 days of employment.
• Performs proper equipment maintenance, monitors reefer temperature, and reports mechanical issues and damages promptly.
• Completes daily check-ins accurately and on time, with no errors.
• Collaborates with management and sales representatives to address customer concerns.
• Performs daily pre/post trip inspections of vehicles and equipment. Manages paperwork including registers, credits, and pickups.
• Develops and maintains positive working relationships with other GFS employees.
• Maintains peer relationships in the field to share issues and ideas. Attends department meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Adheres to all safety and compliance regulations and procedures.
• Maintains a professional appearance wearing the GFS uniform.
• Demonstrates punctuality, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Communicates effectively verbally and in writing.
• Works independently and as part of a team.
• Is goal-oriented with a positive attitude.
• Reads, writes, understands, and communicates in English.
• Meets physical demands of the job, including lifting, pushing, and pulling products.
