Job summary

Isabella Bank in Clare, MI is seeking a Teller to handle daily teller transactions and deliver friendly customer service at the Clare South Office. You will process deposits and withdrawals, promote bank products, and assist with account openings in a team-oriented environment.

Schedule includes Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and some Saturdays. Prior cash handling experience is preferred; a High School Diploma is required. Travel to other branches may be necessary to support staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Previous cash handling or teller experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive checks and cash for deposit; verify amounts.
• Cash checks and process withdrawals; verify signatures.
• Promote bank services (CDs, safe deposit boxes, traveler's checks and money orders).
• Receive loan payments and ensure amounts match balance due; enter payments and issue receipts.
• Count, check, and package coins and currency.
• Maintain teller stations with forms and supplies; assist with account openings; pin ATM/Debit cards.
• Travel to other branches to assist staffing; perform other duties as assigned.

Description

Position Title: Teller

Reports To: Teller Supervisor

Schedule: Tuesday/Thursday/Friday and some Saturdays

Responsibilities:

• Receive checks and cash for deposit to accounts, verify amounts, examine checks for proper endorsement, and enter deposits into computer records.
• Cash checks and process withdrawals; pay out money after verification of signatures, and customer balances.
• Promote and explain other financial institution services such as CDs, safe deposit boxes, traveler's checks and money orders.
• Receive mortgage, consumer loan and other payments and ensure the payments match balance due. Enter payments into computer and generate customer receipts.
• Count, check, and package coins and currency.
• Ensure that teller stations are properly stocked with forms, supplies, etc.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers.
• Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for this position.
• Perform other similar or related duties as necessary.
• Assist with account opening procedures.
• Pin ATM/Debit cards.
• Document and file items into synergy.
• Travel to other branches to assist with staffing may be required.
• Other duties as assigned.
