Job Summary

The Clamp Truck Operator is responsible for moving rolls from rail cars, trucks, and warehouses to the corrugator for processing.

Essential Job Functions

• Operate equipment by passing a forklift test
• Follow safety practices for heavy roll handling
• Understand and interpret shipping manifests
• Drive roll trucks between warehouse, rail cars, and trucks
• Use RF scanning systems to identify products
• Understand paper grades and storage requirements
• Handle various roll types to prevent damage
• Coordinate with the corrugator line-up and paper requirements
• Check EDI for incoming paper via truck or rail
• Perform forklift inspections before use
• Use lockout/tagout procedures for safety concerns
• Handle materials properly to ensure quality

Other Functions

• Participate in inventory control processes

Qualifications

• Experience in the corrugated industry preferred
• Experience as a clamp truck operator
• Attention to detail and dexterity in equipment control
• Pass substance abuse screening

• Criminal background check clearance
• Maintain lift operator qualifications as required
• Ability to operate trucks and trailers; Class A license preferred
• Mechanical skills for truck/trailer maintenance
