Responsibilities include:
- Managing all plant receiving activities, including roll stock, press products, and other items.
- Distributing received goods to designated warehouse locations and departments.
- Maintaining inventory control through accurate documentation.
- Organizing warehouse areas and managing inventory discrepancies.
- Relieving inventory and delivering products to work-in-process with proper documentation.
Key duties:
- Loading and unloading trailers.
- Receiving courier items and delivering to appropriate departments.
- Moving received materials to storage or warehouse locations.
- Completing inventory logs and notifying relevant personnel of arrivals.
- Maintaining inventory of printed materials and supplies.
- Handling flammable materials safely upon arrival.
- Inspecting rolls for damage and reporting issues.
- Verifying incoming materials against purchase orders.
- Segregating rejected materials and maintaining inventory until disposition.
- Delivering roll stock to press and managing storage safety.
- Marking and disposing of waste materials for recycling.
- Removing signatures from inventory for samples and delivering to departments.
- Verifying counts of oversigs and managing rejected or scrapped rolls.
- Locating stock during press operations in emergencies.
- Unloading miscellaneous skids and accepting packages outside normal hours.
- Scheduling shipping personnel and managing outbound shipments.
- Preparing and recording shipments via UPS, FedEx, and freight carriers.
- Loading mail and freight shipments.
- Operating company equipment safely and according to safety rules.
- Maintaining positive relations with customers, employees, and visitors.
- Performing additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of Clamp Truck driving experience.
- Experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or shipping environment.
- Ability to identify stock types and grades accurately.
- Strong driving skills, especially in tight spaces.
- Experience in job costing, billing, or accounting is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Physical requirements:
- Frequent manual handling and use of hands.
- Ability to talk and listen regularly.
- Occasional standing, walking, climbing, and other physical activities.
- Ability to lift up to 72 lbs and handle propane tanks.
- Specific vision capabilities required.
