Job summary

Electrolux Group in Fairburn, GA is seeking a Clamp Operator to off-load trailers, receive product, and load trailers with the correct items while using clamp equipment.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of forklift operation and distribution warehouse experience.
• Clamp operation experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Use clamp equipment to transport products to and from locations safely and timely.
• Off-load trailers and load trailers with the correct product per customer requirements.
• Ensure proper storage of product and complete correct inventory transactions.
• Sort, pack, wrap, strap and label products per customer requirements & company procedures.
• Clean work area and equipment regularly following safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintain forklift/clamp equipment by reporting breakdowns and performing daily inspections.
• Follow production schedule to determine material requirements, movements, shipments, and deliveries.
• Record information regarding movement, supplies, materials and finished products.
• Execute all steps of the customer order filling process and monitor inventory.
• Adhere to KPI’s: Safety, Units shipped, on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, scrap.
• Perform other duties as required.

Clamp Operators at Electrolux are responsible for off-loading trailers and containers, receiving product into the warehouse, ensuring proper storage of product, and loading trailers/railcars with the correct product for each customer while using clamp equipment. Our Clamp Operators also ensure all inventory transactions are done correctly and in a timely manner with the use of RFS or computers. To work as a Clamp Operator with Electrolux you must be able to operate clamp equipment while following established safe work practices, load and unload products from trailers using lift/clamp equipment and store the products in proper inventory locations within the warehouse.

You will be based in our Fairburn, GA location. This shift will start at *:00am and end 4:30 pm Monday-Friday. This role supports the production line and will follow production's needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Use clamp equipment to transport products to and from locations in a safe and timely manner.
• Off-load trailers and load trailers with the correct product per customer requirements while using clamp equipment in a safe and timely manner.
• Ensure proper storage of product and complete correct inventory transactions
• Sort, pack, wrap, strap and label products as per customer requirements & company procedures.
• Clean work area and equipment regularly by removing empty pallets, wood and plastic, and following established safety procedures and regulations to ensure safe and positive work atmosphere.
• Maintain forklift/clamp equipment by reporting breakdowns and recommending repairs to Supervisor. Perform daily pre and post inspections.
• Follow production schedule to determine material requirements, movements, shipments, and deliveries. Record information regarding movement, supplies, materials and finished products.
• Execute in an efficient and accurate manner all steps of the customer order filling process and monitor and maintain accurate inventory.
• Adhere to Regional Distribution Center Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s): Safety, Units shipped, on time delivery, inventory accuracy, and scrap.
• Perform other duties as required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (Minimum Qualifications):

• High school graduate or equivalent
• At least 3 years’ experience in forklift operation and distribution warehouse activities.
• Clamp operation experience required.
• Complete knowledge of warehousing, shipping and inventory control policies and procedures.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Should be able to team lift any package greater than 35 lbs. but less than 71 lbs.
• Should be able to handle repetitive twisting, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, and bending
• Must be able to spend long periods of time on your feet
