Qualifications

As a Claims Support Associate II you will establish and maintain payment reconciliation within the Payroll/Billing system. Act as a liaison between Claims processing and Accounting to implement proper payment requirements. You will provide training to staff on new payers as well as modifications to formats of existing payers.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Develop, implement and deliver appropriate billing formats to prospective payers.
  • Review specific billing, pricing and coverage rules of a payer during contract negotiations. Ensure all information received is accurate and complete to mitigate risk of lost revenue as a result of the billing process.
  • Create accurate and correctly formatted invoices. Maintain all payer rate tables for local and regional payers. Address, resolve data input and billing issues.
  • Process and reconcile payments using 835 remittance files, and post payments accurately.
  • Review EOBs and remittance advice to ensure accurate posting and follow up on discrepancies.
  • Resolve denials, underpayments, and aged claims.

Qualifications

You should get in touch if you have:

  • High school diploma or the equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years of billing and/or reimbursement experience, specifically cash posting. Unity system experience preferred.
  • Must have experience posting payments and resolving denials via 835/EOB/EOP, collecting and/or posting payments, and processing claims/bills/invoices.
  • Strong MS Excel knowledge.
  • Excellent communication (verbal/written), analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, are detail oriented, responsive, and demonstrate independent thought and critical thinking.
