Responsibilities
- Supervise claims staff in daily operations to ensure quality and productivity
- Assist in the recruitment, training, and onboarding of new staff
- Ensure compliance with Workers’ Compensation laws and regulatory reporting requirements
- Provide technical guidance on complex claims and serve as a liaison for client resolutions
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and recommend merit activities for staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience handling claims, specifically in Workers’ Compensation
- Current license or certification in Workers’ Compensation must be maintained throughout employment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Self-Insured Certificate
- State Certification as an experienced Examiner
- Demonstrated public speaking skills
- Experience in one or more New England states (CT, RI, MA, VT, NH, and/or ME)
