Job description

We are recruiting for a Claims Supervisor, Catastrophe Services to join our team in Canada.

The supervisor of the catastrophe adjusting team will be responsible for managing resources across Canada, with a focus on development, implementation, training/mentoring, promotion, and performance management of Catastrophe Services, protocols, and programs.

Responsibilities

  1. Manage the national CAT program, including development, implementation, training, mentoring, statistical analysis, compliance, and quality reviews.
  2. Formalize CAT plans with clients in collaboration with leadership and internal stakeholders.
  3. Establish, manage, and execute pricing and compensation strategies.
  4. Contribute to CAT marketing and presentation efforts.
  5. Streamline revenue schemes for national CAT operations.
  6. Manage tools like Xactanalysis and Symbility, provide Xactimate training, and oversee system access and password resets. Enhance competency among CAT roster resources.
  7. Recruit additional CAT resources within the branch network and through Workforce Advantage.
  8. Manage and maintain the ODA roster.
  9. Develop and update standard rules of engagement for deployed adjusters.
  10. Oversee national catastrophe management, including site management at CAT events and supporting deployment, needs assessment, and quality standards.
  11. Lead international catastrophe efforts, including site management and team leadership, in coordination with the Operations VP.
  12. Maintain relationships with Crawford CAT Management Teams in other countries, attend conferences, and liaise on training and industry standards for deployments.

Qualifications

  1. Minimum 7 years of residential property claims experience, with 2-3 years of supervisory experience.
  2. Ability to obtain a full Ontario adjusting license; multiple provincial licenses are preferred.
  3. CIP or FCIP designation is an asset.
  4. Strong management, organizational, and strategic skills, with excellent communication and human relations abilities.
  5. Ability to manage multiple priorities and interact effectively at all organizational levels.
  6. Availability for extensive national and international travel, with a valid driver’s license.
  7. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  8. Asset skills include familiarity with Crawford operational processes, partnership programs, Xactanalysis/Xactimate, Symbility, and Crawford platforms.
