Job summary

CRC Group seeks an experienced Claims Operations Manager to direct a team of Claims Examiners in Fort Worth, TX. You will oversee claims handling, ensure regulatory compliance, and mentor staff while expanding trainee programs.

The role requires extensive property claims experience, an Associate's degree or higher, and an active Adjusters License. Preference given to bilingual candidates and those with a Bachelor's degree or designated insurance credentials.

Qualifications

  • Eight years related experience, 1-3 of which to include management experience in property claims.
  • Fluency in Spanish preferred.
  • Associate’s degree (A.A. or A.S.) or equivalent from a two-year college, business school, or technical school.
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) preferred; active insurance designation is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Claims Examiner team and oversee performance.
  • Review new losses assigned to the Claims Examiner team.
  • Provide technical direction and ensure timely, accurate documentation of claims.
  • Ensure actions comply with company guidelines and insurance regulations.
  • Extend settlement authority on claims beyond an Examiner’s authority.
  • Assist with hiring, training, coaching, and mentoring staff.
  • Develop and execute the Wellington Claims Trainee program.
  • Participate as an instructor and monitor program quality.
  • Audit claim files against company standards and document conclusions.
  • Collaborate with other units to analyze and improve program performance.

Through technical direction and oversight, the incumbent is responsible for managing and analyzing claims handling activities for Claims Examiners; ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and Company standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  • Effectively manage assigned team of Claims Examiners and performance of same.
  • Review all new losses assigned to Claims Examiner team.
  • Provide effective technical direction and ongoing guidance, ensuring timely and accurate documentation of claims activities.
  • Ensure all actions taken are consistent with Company guidelines, insurance industry regulations, and best practices.
  • Extend settlement authority on claims exceeding an Examiner’s authority.
  • Assist with hiring, training, coaching, and mentoring Claims Department personnel.
  • Assist in the development and execution of the Wellington Claims Trainee program.
  • Participate as an instructor and monitor quality of same.
  • Participate in the audit process by reviewing performance on individual claim files against Company standards, arriving at a reasonable, accurate, and clearly documented conclusion.
  • Interface with other units within the Company to analyze and improve program performance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university.
  • Completion of a major insurance designation, or actively pursuing insurance related courses.
  • Fluency in Spanish preferred.
