Job summary

Wells Family Dental Group in Raleigh areas seeks an experienced Dental Claims Specialist to support our 9 locations around Raleigh. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience with dental codes and terminology, inputting payments (checks, EFTs, and virtual cards), and knowledge of insurance EOBs.

You will research denials, communicate with insurers both verbally and in writing, write appeal letters, and follow up on old claims.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience with dental codes and terminology.
• Experience inputting payments via checks, EFTs, and virtual cards.
• Knowledge of insurance EOBs: payments, network write-offs, patient portions.
• Experience appealing denials through written appeals and follow-up on old claims.

Responsibilities

• Research why claim denials occur and contact insurers.
• Write and submit appeal letters to obtain payment.
• Follow up on outstanding claims across multiple locations.
• Maintain accuracy and efficiency in processing claims.

Job description

Wells Family Dental Group is in need of an experienced Dental Claims Specialist to work supporting our 9 locations around Raleigh. Our ideal candidate would have at least 1 year of experience with the following:

• Dental codes and terminology
• Input payments; Checks, EFT's and Virtual credit card payments
• Knowledge of an insurance EOB; payment, network write offs, patient portion
• If denials of payment are received: you will be researching why and you will be in direct communication with insurance companies, both verbally and in writing, providing sufficient information, along with writing appeal letters to receive payment and follow up on old claims

This is a fast paced job requiring efficiency and focus on details. We offer outstanding benefits after 90 days !

Position Requirements

Experience:

• Dental insurance: 1 year (Required)

Wage Salary: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
