Job summary

AQUARIUS is seeking a driven Claims Analyst to support the Cincinnati area. You will manage the end-to-end claims process, from collecting proofs of death to calculating and paying claims in compliance with policy provisions and state laws.

The role requires strong communication skills, customer service excellence, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. You will coordinate with agents, funeral homes, and clients while maintaining accurate claim files and documentation.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent work experience required or preferred.
• 3–5 years life insurance experience desirable.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite expected.
• Excellent customer service skills essential.

Responsibilities

Job description

Are you a driven, dedicated Claims Analyst looking to get your foot in the door with a stable organization based here in the Cincinnati area?

What you will be doing as the Claims Analyst:

• Manage entire claims function including collection of proofs of death, claim calculation and payment, and the pending claims in accordance with policy provisions and state laws.
• Prepare claim file (including print policy application & other documentation for claim processing).
• Complete claim jacket form & Texas spreadsheet when applicable.
• Occasional investigations and formulating recommendations for policy rescission.
• Verify claim payment, and prepare disbursement journal entry for approval and payment by accounting.
• Terminate policy in the policy administration system, enter payee and cause of death
• Prepare files for image and audit imaged files.
• Handle death claim calls from agents, funeral homes and clients (includes calculating and quoting death benefit, suspending policies for death, etc.)
• Follow- up on pending claims for outstanding documents
• Answer main customer service line
• Policy research
• Update claims checklist

What you will need as the Claims Analyst:

• Associates Degree or equivalent work experience
• 3-5 years life insurance experience and/or LOMA matriculation is desirable
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Excellent Customer Service skills
• Self-starter, comfortable working in fast paced environment
