Responsibilities:
This position is a virtual, Work From Home role.
This position will start as a Virtual Auto Damage Estimator role. Appraises automobile or other vehicle damage. Requires the handling of disputed material damage claims to a satisfactory conclusion.
Manage computer-based shop to ensure a high level of Member Service Index (MSI)
Uses independent judgment in determining repair cost estimates and damage awards.
Exercises independent judgment and personal discretion in repair versus replace decisions with damaged vehicles.
Negotiate with repair facilities to obtain agreement for repair at the estimated cost level.
Prepares clear and concise written reviews of the damage findings and repair agreements for submission to the adjusting staff for their finalization of payments.
Communicate with repair shops, members and claimants daily.
Renegotiate repair costs as needed
Complete virtual reinspections on vehicles during the repair process.
Education and Requirements:
High School diploma or GED Required
3 - 5 years collision estimating experience preferred.
Ability to service claims of various complexities.
Some insurance experience preferred.
Excellent computer and line of business technical software skills required.
Advanced organization and planning recognition skills required.
Advanced interpersonal skills required.
Physical requirements may include lifting (50 lbs. or more).
The employee is frequently required to stand, use hands to finger, handle or feel; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl around vehicles in all kinds of weather.
Valid driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle driving record required.
Must be high energy, highly motivated, self-starter individual requiring minimal supervision.
Must be flexible to assist on Catastrophe duty within the extended organization.
Complete other duties as assigned.
The starting pay range for this position is:
$28.19 - $37.55Additionally, for full time positions, you will be eligible to participate in our incentive program based upon the achievement of organization, team and personal performance.
