Job summary

Signature Performance, Inc. is seeking a Follow Up Specialist who will analyze account activity, investigate denied or unpaid claims, and work with insurance payers and internal departments to expedite payment.

The role requires 2+ years in medical billing or revenue cycle operations, knowledge of CPT/ICD codes, and experience with EHR/billing systems including Epic, Meditech, and Artiva. Join a team committed to accuracy and timely reimbursement.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in medical billing, insurance follow-up, or revenue cycle operations.
Knowledge of CPT/ICD coding and medical terminology.
Experience working with electronic health records (EHRs) and billing systems such as Epic, Meditech, and Artiva.

Responsibilities

Follow up on assigned insurance claims to ensure timely and accurate payment.
Review EOBs and remittance advice for payment accuracy and claim status.
Contact insurance companies via phone, portals, or written communication to resolve issues.
Identify and appeal denied or underpaid claims per payer guidelines and documentation.
Collaborate with billing, coding, and clinical staff to obtain necessary documentation.
Update patient account notes with follow-up actions and outcomes.
Monitor aging reports and prioritize work based on deadlines and balances.
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and policies.
Meet individual and team performance goals and participate in meetings and training.
