We're seeking a compassionate and skilled professional to support customers through the claims process with empathy and clarity. You'll investigate, evaluate, and resolve claims--ranging from minor incidents to more complex cases with bodily injury--while explaining and investigating coverage issues and next steps clearly. Through out this process, you will ensure timely decisions, authorize payments within policy limits, and document all claim activity. You may also encounter claims involving legal matters.

This position will report to a Sentry Insurance office, or has the possibility to work remotely from home.
What It Takes:
As a Claims Representative II, you'll ensure the delivery of quality claim service to our customers, and other parties to a claim, while protecting the assets of Sentry. You'll do this by:
Claims being handled will fall under property damage, and bodily injury liability
Verifying that coverage exist by investigating and gathering information about claims by contacting all parties involved
Investigate coverage issues
Take recorded statements and obtain information such as police reports, medical reports, photographs, and more.
Evaluate damages/eligibility for benefits, determines liability and sets reserves.
Documenting all decisions, correspondences, reports and discussions
Settle and pay claims within assigned authority limits on a timely basis.
Work closely with health facility, repair facility and/or contractors to facilitate necessary services or repair work.
What It Takes:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
Ability to obtain and maintain state licensing as required
1+ years of related work experience
Bodily Injury experience highly preferred
Knowledge of insurance policies and coverage, claim payment procedures and familiarity with medical terminology preferred
Able to make sound decisions while using good judgment in evaluating claims
Able to review and interpret complex and detailed documents such as contracts, medical reports and insurance regulations
Effective oral and written communication skills
Able to maintain confidential information
Personal computer and math skills beneficial
Ability to pass the required coursework applicable to job duties

In the state of Colorado, b ased on experience and qualifications, the annual salary range is as follows: $63,756 - $87,664.50
