West Bend is hiring a Casualty Claims Representative in Wisconsin with a hybrid work schedule. The role focuses on reviewing and investigating P&C claims, evaluating coverage, gathering evidence, and pursuing fair settlements for auto, GL, and PD claims.

Responsibilities include interviewing claimants, negotiating settlements, maintaining files, and ensuring reserving accuracy and audit compliance while participating in hands-on training and mentorship opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Associate in General Insurance and/or Associate in Claims designation preferred.
• Experience in auto and GL/PD claims is a plus.

Job Summary

This role is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and investigating P&C insurance claims to determine their validity and ensure accurate and fair settlements. This role involves examining policy coverage, gathering evidence (such as statements, reports, and documentation), interviewing claimants and witnesses, and identifying potential fraud or inconsistencies.

Work Location

This position offers a hybrid work schedule. Candidates who are located within 50 miles of our West Bend office location will work a hybrid schedule for collaboration days, team meetings or other in-person events.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Are you ready to put your problem-solving skills to work and make a real difference for customers? We're looking for a motivated Claims Professional to handle a variety of low to moderate complexity Personal and Commercial Lines auto, general liability (GL), and property damage (PD) claims.

In this role, you'll:

• Investigate, evaluate, and resolve claims while delivering outstanding customer service.
• Negotiate settlements with insureds, claimants, and attorneys.
• Manage active files, ensure accurate reserving, and maintain compliance with audit guidelines.
• Learn and grow through hands-on training, mentorship, and project opportunities.

What You Bring:

• We welcome candidates with a wide range of business backgrounds, including operations, sales, marketing, finance, customer service, or relatable skills

• Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly and contribute across multiple functional areas
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proven track record of managing priorities and delivering results in fast-paced settings
• Comfort with ambiguity and a willingness to take initiative in evolving business environments
• Experience handling auto and GL/PD claims is preferred.

Preferred Education & Credentials:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Associate in General Insurance and/or Associate in Claims designation.

Salary Statement

The salary range for this position is $ 55,000-$77,000 .

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. Compensation decisions are made by West Bend and are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
