Responsibilities

About the role: The Claims Quality Improvement Analyst promotes quality claim management by facilitating file evaluation and analyzing company data to quantify claims results. Collaborating with operations leaders and the Continuous Improvement Manager, you will determine optimal file results, ensure regulatory compliance, and meet best practices. You will analyze business indicators, recommend improvements, and make technical decisions within delegated authority. The role may involve investigating trends across claim metrics through audits and analysis. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Developing and executing the vision for the Claims quality improvement function, continuously enhancing it in line with best practices and regulations.
  2. Creating and maintaining file audit dashboards to inform leadership on trends and opportunities.
  3. Implementing automated claims handling quality review processes.
  4. Collaborating to develop policies, standards, controls, and workflows to establish a center of excellence.
  5. Conducting quality and compliance reviews to ensure service excellence and regulatory adherence.
  6. Developing audit forms, analyzing results, and developing action plans for continuous improvement.
  7. Monitoring and reporting on file quality data trends and issues.
  8. Supporting training initiatives and developing job aids to improve claims handling quality.
  9. Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements in all projects.
  10. Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and vendors.
Qualifications

  • Claims Audit, Quality Improvement/Quality Assurance experience
  • Extensive knowledge of claims processes and insurance industry
  • Understanding of Guidewire ClaimCenter
  • Project management experience (preferred)
  • Database proficiency (desired)
  • Ongoing pursuit of analytical credentials
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Data analysis skills for forming conclusions
  • Understanding regulatory requirements and developing best practices
  • Sound judgment for compliance decisions

Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience (preferred)
  • 3+ years in auto and/or casualty claims handling (required)
  • 2+ years in claims compliance or quality roles (preferred)

Licenses (preferred): AINS, AIS, CPCU, SCLA, or AIC.
