BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina is hiring a Claims Processor to ensure accurate and timely processing of claims in a full-time, on-site role. The position is based at 17 Technology Cir, Columbia, SC 29203, within the PGBA subsidiary environment.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with internal departments to resolve edits and ensure proper coding and reimbursements. U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Researches and processes claims according to regulations, internal standards and processing guidelines.

• Resolves system edits, audits and claims errors through research and approved references.
• Coordinates with internal departments to update patient identification and payer files as necessary.
• Supports enrollment and payer file updates as needed.
