Job summary

BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina is seeking a claims processing professional to ensure accurate and timely handling of claims. The role is full-time, on-site in Myrtle Beach, SC, with typical hours 8:00am–5:00pm, Monday–Friday.

You will research and process claims, verify codes, resolve edits, and coordinate with internal departments. A high school diploma is required, and strong analytical, communication, and basic math skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Researches and processes claims according to business regulation, internal standards and processing guidelines.
• Verifies the coding of procedure and diagnosis codes.
• Resolves system edits, audits and claims errors through research and references.
• Coordinates with internal departments to work edits and deferrals and update patient identification and other files as necessary.
