Job description

Schedule: Full-time, Days: Monday - Friday

Location: Remote after training in Detroit, MI

This role involves preparing and issuing bills for reimbursement to individual and third-party payers in an outpatient or medical office environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare insurance claims for submission to third-party payers and responsible parties.
  2. Review claims for accuracy, including diagnosis and procedure codes.
  3. Address claim rejections and communicate with payers to resolve billing issues.
  4. Prepare and review routine billing reports; recommend process improvements.
  5. Respond to complex inquiries from patients, third-party payers, and physician practices.

Education/Experience Required:

  • High School diploma or equivalent OR 1 year of applicable job-specific experience.
  • Two years of billing experience preferred.
  • Pediatric billing experience preferred.
