Northwest Partners LLC in Wooster, OH, is seeking an experienced Claims Manager to lead a team of Claims Adjusters and Senior Claims Representatives, oversee complex claims, and ensure high-quality claims handling, regulatory compliance, and customer service excellence.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years casualty claims experience, strong Auto Physical Damage expertise, and a proven leadership track record.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of casualty claims experience with increasing responsibility.
• Proven experience leading and developing claims professionals.
• Strong Auto Physical Damage experience in a commercial environment.
• Experience handling complex, high-exposure and litigated claims.
• Knowledge of reserving, coverage analysis, negotiation, valuation and settlement.
• Experience working with independent adjusters, counsel, Legal and SIU.
• Understanding of insurance regulations and claims compliance.
• Excellent communication, leadership, analytical and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of 7 Claims professionals.
• Oversee complex, high-exposure, and litigated claims from investigation through resolution.
• Provide guidance on coverage, reserving, valuation, negotiation, and settlement.
• Review claims for quality, compliance, accuracy, and appropriate reserves.
• Partner with Underwriting, Legal, SIU, agents, insureds, and counsel on complex claims.
• Conduct claims audits and identify opportunities for process and performance improvement.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management of the team.
• Monitor team workloads, performance metrics, and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in mediations, pre-trials, trials, and complex claim reviews as required.

Northwest Partners is supporting a leading insurance organization in its search for an experienced Claims Manager to lead and develop a team of Claims Adjusters and Senior Claims Representatives, oversee complex claims, and ensure high-quality claims handling, regulatory compliance, and customer service excellence. The ideal candidate will bring strong casualty claims experience, proven people leadership, and must have Auto Physical Damage claims experience, along with a background in complex claims, reserving, coverage, litigation, and claims resolution.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• Experience handling complex, high-exposure, and litigated claims.
• Strong knowledge of reserving, coverage analysis, negotiation, valuation, and settlement practices.
• Experience working with independent adjusters, coverage counsel, Legal, and SIU.
• Strong understanding of insurance regulations and claims compliance.
• Excellent communication, leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• College degree or equivalent experience.
• AIC or CPCU designation highly preferred.
