Job summary

AIG Claims, Inc. in Dallas seeks a Claims Management Analyst to help handle complex claims with emphasis on quality and service excellence. You will work with insureds, TPAs, brokers and underwriters to analyze coverage and manage expectations.

The role involves budgeting litigation, negotiating outcomes, and maintaining claim diaries. You will complete reports and support a robust claims workflow while pursuing licenses within six months.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical and persuasive skills are required.
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities are essential.
  • Experience with claims handling and customer service is preferred.
  • Knowledge of liability claims processes is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with working with insureds, TPAs and brokers is a plus.
  • Understanding of litigation processes and negotiations is advantageous.
  • Windows XP and Microsoft Office skills are necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze the scope and extent of coverage of primary policies with deductibles.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication with insureds, TPAs, brokers and underwriters.
  • Make regular and appropriate contact with internal and external customers including leading national Fortune 500 companies.
  • Give guidance to insureds and/or brokers to manage expectations.
  • Effectively strategize and budget the litigation of each claim through discussions with counsel, vendors and insureds.
  • Establish clear ground rules with defense and coverage counsel to maintain financial control of budget and expenses.
  • Maintain a diary system to efficiently manage and resolve assigned claim inventory.
  • Independently negotiate high exposure claims with top plaintiff attorneys nationwide including mediations and trials as necessary.
  • Complete all required file and management reports, participate in roundtables, and perform reconciliation reports with the TPA.
  • Property and casualty licenses required; must be obtained within 6 months.

How you will create an impact

What you’ll need to succeed
  • Experience with Claims Third Party Administrators preferred
  • 3+ years previous general and auto liability claims experience preferred
  • Property and Casualty licenses preferred
  • Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and persuasive skills
  • Have proven organizational, time management and customer service skills
  • Understanding of claim litigation process
  • Motivated individuals who are interested in the potential for an upwardly mobile career path
  • Windows XP and Microsoft applications skills necessary
