Job summary

Bachelor's degree and 3 years in insurance, claims, or legal settings are required, plus CP or PACE certification within 2 years and an OK Claims Adjuster license within 1 year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• At least 3 years of experience in insurance, claims or legal environment required.
• Certified Paralegal (CP) or PACE certification within 2 years of hire.
• Oklahoma Claims Adjuster License within 1 year of hire.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software.
• Strong writing skills and detail orientation.

Responsibilities

• Accept subpoenas and issue COI and Claims History Letters.
• Report claims to insurance carriers and coordinate record requests.
• Administer the claims/incident/reserve data basis; support Reserve & Settlement committees.
• Oversee insurance applications and liaise with outside law firms for OU Health parties and witnesses.
• Process legal and litigation expenses for payment; track deductibles.
• Facilitate logistics for in-house litigation counsel and scheduling needs.
• Screen telephone calls and visitors, directing to appropriate individuals.
