Job summary

Sentry is offering a Claims Internship to gain hands-on experience with a mentor, learning how claims support the company’s success. You’ll network with leadership at social events and gain insights into negotiations, coverage verification, and documentation.

The role emphasizes improvement of analytical thinking, empathy, teamwork, and organizational skills in a collaborative, growth-focused environment. Hybrid work expects remote Mondays/Fridays and in-office Tue–Thu.

In this internship, you’ll gain hands‑on experience and work with a mentor to learn all about the Claims role and network with leadership at social events.

What You’ll Do

Our Claims internship offers opportunities to:

• Gain hands‑on insight into claims negotiations and settlement processes to help reach fair resolutions for customers.
• Stand by customers during stressful times, guiding them through the claims process with genuine care and understanding.
• Review policy details to accurately verify coverage and policy limits for current customers.
• Dive into the details of a loss by gathering facts and reviewing documentation to understand what happened.
• Maintain clear, thorough records of all investigations, communications, and steps taken throughout the claims process.

What it Takes

To be considered for this position, the following criteria is necessary:

• Pursuing an undergraduate or associate degree in Business, Insurance, Communication, or a related field
• Obtain a minimum in‑major GPA of 3.00
• Expected graduation of May 2029
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
• Obtain required licensing as needed
• Sentry does not offer employment in this position to holders of F-1, J-1, and H-1 Visas for the purpose of obtaining practical experience
