Job summary

Berkley Accident and Health is seeking a Claims Correspondence Analyst to serve as the first contact for inquiries related to claims. The role handles EOR requests, claim status inquiries, and prescreens information for initial claim setups.

Strong communication, detail orientation, and multi-tasking are essential in a fast-paced environment. The role is based in a hybrid office setting with four days in the office and one day remote where appropriate, offering a comprehensive benefits package

Qualifications

• High school diploma required with strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience in claims processing, healthcare administration or customer service preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly and professionally to incoming requests regarding EOR, claim status updates and general claim questions from various stakeholders.
• Review and prescreen information for initial claim file setups.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions in the claims system or shared drive.
• Ensure compliance with policies and confidentiality standards, including PHI/PII secure handling.
• Provide exceptional customer service with clear, concise communication.
• Complete all assigned requests within a 48-72 hour handling timeframe.
• Assist with projects and other work as assigned.

The Claims Correspondence Analyst will serve as a first point of contact for inquiries related to claims.

This role is responsible for handling Explanation of Reimbursement (EOR) requests, claim status inquiries, general claim-related questions, and prescreening information received for initial claim file setups. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

This position will be based in one of our offices:

• Hamilton Square, NJ
• Marlborough, MA

We'll count on you to:

• Respond promptly and professionally to incoming requests regarding: EOR requests, claim status requests/updates and general claim questions from Account Management, Sales, Brokers, Policyholders and Third-Party Administrators
• Review and prescreen information received for initial claim file setups
• Maintain accurate records of all interactions and updates in the claims system and/or shared drive
• Ensure compliance and company policies, regulatory requirements and confidentiality standards by ensuring that all external communications that contain PHI/PII are sent securely.
• Provide exceptional customer service by delivering clear, concise and professional communication
• Complete all assigned requests within a 48 to 72-hour handling timeframe
• Projects and other work as assigned

What you need to have:

• High school diploma
• Prior experience in claims processing, healthcare administration or customer service strongly preferred
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Base Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000

The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
